MySchoolLocator
MySchoolLocator is a web-based tool for parents and community members who want to quickly discover which schools serve their residence. Hours of staff time can be saved; hours currently spent responding to parents or realtors wanting to know which school serves a particular residence. With SchoolLocator by DecisionInsite, residents and other members of the community (such as real estate agents) can self-serve simply by clicking a link on the district’s web site, and entering an address or clicking on the map. SchoolLocator does the rest.
A Special Offer to School Districts
As a service to school districts, DecisionInsite will provide its web-based SchoolLocator function to any California school district at a greatly reduced cost of $895 per year. A reasonable additional onetime fee is charged to upload all schools and to digitize district and school boundaries. Once this work is completed, a district may continue to have access to this service indefinitely for the annual fee.
No Street or Address Data to License
SchoolLocator by DecisionInsite does not require a district to purchase an annual license to street and address data files. These are all included in the service. The district needs nothing more.
How to Get Started
Set up is simple. Go to the DecisionInsite website and complete the online MySchoolLocator Interest form.
NOTE: Districts are set up and activated on a first come, first served basis. Estimated activation time is two weeks from receipt of district data.
