New Reports
|
|
Check out a range of recently added reports under 'Projections', 'Enrollment History', and 'Residential' menus.
Among the reports you can quickly view:
- projections for out of district students only
- out of district history by grade by year
- district wide projections with new housing pulled out
- total projections for all schools at a given level, e.g., elementary
- projected enrollment from new housing only

New System Features
|
In response to our clients, several new features have recently been added to the DI System. As the graphic illustrates:
- When you select a geographic area, the area will be defined by a bold blue boundary line and no fill (no more orange wash).
- Freeway and major highway shields are more visible.
QuickInsite and FullInsite are dramatic, information-packed, predefined community demographic reports that are 3 clicks away.
In addition, the following improvements grow out of client requests:
- Each report now has a 'Get Printable PDF' button,
- An address can be plotted on any map page by entering it in the dialogue box on the left side of the map window,
- Thematic maps are crisper and easier to read, and include more variable options, like travel time to work.

| Meet Pam Grossman |
 Pam
Grossman is our Administrative Assistant and a vital member of our
staff. Most of you will have some form of contact with Pam
whether it be in arranging contracts, conference calls, trainings, or
just a little TLC. Pam is our point person. Growing up in the
heart of New York City, Pam learned early the importance of being
independent, focused and savvy. She applies these skills to the DI
experience, and you will find her personable, efficient and
effective. Say 'Hi' to Pam!

QuickInsite: A Predefined Demographic Report
|
Accessing
demographic data just got easier. Now in a few clicks, you can generate
a predefined report displaying a small but significant sample of
demographic data for your district, or for one of your schools. And the
report is presented in beautiful color, in pdf format.
The QuickInsite report displays for the district, or selected school, data regarding:
1) Population/Households/Families, 2) Age, 3) Income, 4) Phase of Life, 5) Racial/Ethnic Trends, and 6) Top 10 PRIZM Households
To access a QuickInsite report:
- go to the Demographics page,
- from the Preset dropdown, select District or School option,
- click on the map to select the District, or the specific school,
- click on the Get QuickInsite Report button.
The
predefined, attractively-formatted pdf report will appear in a few
minutes, and is presentation ready. Click on 'Save A Copy', then attach
it to an email, or add it to your website.
For a predefined report including many more variables, click on the Get FullInsite Report button.

Frame a Question; Find an Answer
|
If you can frame the question, chances are the DI system
can help find an answer without having to sift through dozens of
pages. As an example, an administrator recently posed the
following question: "How many students is School X serving under open
enrollment from outside their attendance boundary?"
Your DI system can find the answer effortlessly and efficiently. Simply follow this menu path: Projections > All Schools > Open Enrollment.
Select the grade level range of the school in question. In this report
you'll see for each school serving the selected grade range, the
number of students served who reside in other attendance
areas.
And, as always, that report is just a few clicks away from your next Powerpoint presentation or Excel spreadsheet!
