DecisionInsite is pleased to announce a new map creation and printing service. This service makes available professional maps either as:

Details*

Attendance Area PDF Maps

Attendance area maps for each school level are available, upon request, in 8 ½" x 11" PDF format. These maps are provided to IDEAS—Premier client districts at no cost, while IDEAS — Small District and StudentView clients will incur a charge of $50 per map. For example, a K-12 district might request 3 PDF attendance area maps: one each for elementary, middle and high school attendance areas.

Only maps of 1) existing attendance areas or 2) future attendance areas that DecisionInsite has already created for the client in anticipation of a new boundary alignment are available under this program.

Custom PDF Maps

Clients may also request the creation of custom PDF maps other than attendance areas if the layer is already in the DI System.

Regardless of client type (Premier, Small District or StudentView), there is a $75 fee for 8 ½" by 11": and $85 for 11" by 17" associated with the creation of these custom maps. Call the DecisionInsite office for pricing and/or to place an order.

Professionally Designed & Printed Maps

DecisionInsite also offers professionally designed and printed large format wall display maps (printed maps). These beautiful maps come in three sizes.

  • 11" by 17"
  • 24" by 36"
  • 36" by 48"


Each map is professionally created. It is then printed, mounted on foam board and laminated. DecisionInsite has teamed up with FedEx Office to offer this premium service at an affordable price.

*This service and the pricing is for existing DecisionInsite clients. If a district that is not currently a client of DecisionInsite
would like to employ our mapping services, there would be an extra fee for setting up all boundaries. Please call.

Maps are printed at a FedEx Office near the district's own office greatly reducing the cost of packaging and shipping. District offices that fall within a 5 mile radius of the nearest FedEx Office store will have the maps delivered at no charge. For district offices outside the 5 mile radius, FedEx Office will contact the client about either picking up or packaging and shipping.

Pricing:

Printed maps are priced by size and quantity of each map as indicated on the following table. If several maps are ordered but each is unique, then the single map price is charged for each map. Quantity pricing applies to multiple printings of the identical map.

NOTE: Quantity discount applies only if more than one printed map of the same size is ordered.
NOTE: Maps requiring the addition of additional layers not currently in the DI System or plotting data can be ordered but are considered custom.

How to Order

To place an order, the client will complete a detailed Map Order Form indicating the map or maps desired and their sizes.
This order form can be downloaded from the DecisionInsite public website or it can be emailed to you by DecisionInsite.

  1. Access an Order Form:

    1. To download the order form for PDF Maps Click here or for PRINTED Maps Click here
    2. To request the order form via email, contact maporders@decisioninsite.com
  2. Complete Order Form:

    1. Carefully complete the order form making sure size, quantities and the map description are clear. The highlighted areas on the form indicate data to provide.
    2. Save the form on your computer. If an 8 ½" by 11" PDF of the printed map is also desired, put a 1 in the PDF Only field. The form will calculate total costs.
  3. Submit Order Form:

    1. Once complete, the order form should be emailed to maporders@decisioninsite.com.
  4. Order Confirmation:

    1. DecisionInsite will confirm the order with the client and submit to production. For each unique map, a draft PDF map will be sent to the client for validation.
    2. When client confirms the map is accurate, it will be sent.
  5. Delivery:

    1. Maps are printed at a FedEx Office near the district's own office greatly reducing the cost of packaging and shipping. District offices that fall within a 5 mile radius of the nearest FedEx Office store will have the maps delivered at no charge.
    2. For district offices outside the 5 mile radius, FedEx Office will contact the client about either picking up or packaging and shipping. If the client elects to have the maps shipped, there will be an additional charge payable to FedEx Office.

Other matters

Please allow 5 to 7 business days for delivery. Once a client approves a map for printing, if an error is found,
the District will be responsible for the cost of re- creating and printing a new map.
